How to Make a Spotify Blend & Manage It Easily [3 Ways]

Key Takeaways
  • Spotify Blend is a feature that allows up to 10 users to create a collaborative playlist, blending their music tastes together, accessible to both premium and non-premium members.
  • Creating a Spotify Blend playlist involves using the Library tab, Search bar, or Browse All section in the Spotify app, and then inviting friends to join.
  • Management of a Spotify Blend playlist includes adding more friends, renaming the playlist, removing songs, or leaving the playlist, differentiating it from traditional collaborative playlists where users manually add songs.

If you have ever tried to make a collaborative playlist with your friends, you must know how frustrating it can be to get everyone on the same page about the songs, mood, or even the playlist’s name. However, Spotify Blend gives a new meaning to group listening.

Spotify Blend works by creating a shared playlist between you and your friends that blends different music tastes into one. Since most users aren’t aware of this feature, it can be confusing to figure things out at first. That’s why in this article we will explore what exactly Spotify Blend is and how you can make one.

More about Spotify Blend

What is Spotify Blend?

Spotify Blend is one of Spotify’s lesser-known features that allows up to 10 people to collaborate and build new and exciting playlists together. What makes the feature special is its ability to generate songs for your playlists according to your listening habits instead of having to manually add them.

With Spotify Blend, you and your friend can even check how similar your music taste is with the help of the “test match score” feature that highlights music similarities using Spotify’s funky infographics. Spotify Blend is a free-to-use feature for premium and non-premium members and can be accessed by all group members.

How to Create a Spotify Artist Blend

In addition to creating Blend playlists with your friends, you can also learn more about your favorite artist’s music preferences through Spotify Artist Blend. This means that you can not only compare and check your music taste with other famous musicians but also combine your tastes into one playlist.

However, your artist blend will mostly contain several of the artist’s own songs with a few exceptions that aren’t in your library. Additionally, only a limited number of artists are available to create blends through links published by Spotify.
