  1. Right-click the Start Menu and select Run to open the Run Program.
  2. Enter service.msc, which is a Run Command, and hit enter to open the services Window.

  4. If the VGC service is not running, click the Start button.

3. Use Virtual Private Network (VPN)

  1. Click the Start Menu and type Manage Network Adapter Settings, and hit Enter to open it.
  2. Click More Network Adapter Options under Related Settings.
  3. Here right-click your network adapter and select Properties.
  4. Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
  5. Now select Use the following DNS server addresses and put the following Google DNS server addresses in the box.
    Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8
    Alternative DNS server: 8.8.4.4

  6. Once done, click OK.
  7. Now open Riot Client and try login with your account.

6. Reset Network Settings

Misconfigured network settings can also lead to this error. Therefore, the last option we have is to reset the network settings. Resetting the network settings will reinstall the network adapters, reassign the IP address, and reset all the settings to default.

  1. To do so, press the Windows key and search Network Reset.
  2. Hit Enter to open the network reset settings.

  4. Once done, launch Riot Client, sign in to the Riot Client, and see if the error is fixed or not.

7. Wait for some time
