Microsoft got a lot of requests from the users to include a store inside Windows like App Store in Mac OSX. So, Microsoft took it seriously and they included it inside Windows 8.
It was definitely a huge increment in the Microsoft family. Unfortunately, Windows Store is still in probation period and there are a number of errors causing troubles to the users by restricting them from downloading their favorite games and apps. One of those hilarious errors is 0x80080207 that appears whenever users try to download something from the Windows Store.
So, while downloading the apps, the progress bar doesn’t move and remains stuck on 0%. After a while, it appears with an error message like the one in the picture below.

There is currently no specific reason found to be causing this error while trying to download apps from Windows Store. Hence, it can be predicted that its occurrence will be due to caches of Windows Store which need to be cleared or modified in order to provide a fresh experience to the Store itself.
Solutions to Fix Error 0x80080207:
As there is no official method by Microsoft to have this problem resolved, so, we can try different tweaks in order to check whether it works or not. So, follow these methods accordingly and test the store every time.
Method # 1: The Best Way
This method is found to be the best way for the sake of getting rid of this error to appear while downloading the apps. Follow the steps below.
1. Navigate to this address C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (If you have installed windows on ‘C’ drive).
2. There, you will find Download Firstly, make a copy of this folder somewhere else. You can paste it anywhere else on the hard disk. After making a copy of the Download folder, double click on the original Download folder and delete everything inside.
It would be better to restart the PC after deleting the files and check if it works or not. I am sure it would do the magic.
Method # 2: Run System File Checker Scan
If, for some reasons, the above method doesn’t do the work for you, then you would be required to run a System File Checker Scan in order to check for corrupted or missing system files and to fix/ restore them to their normal state.
