Dragon Quest Monsters Spinoff Confirmed For Nintendo Switch

Square Enix has officially confirmed that a Dragon Quest Monsters game is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch. The announcement came alongside a new trailer commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Dragon Quest Monsters series.

You can watch the trailer at the Dragon Quest website here.

The trailer, which showcases nostalgic moments from the franchise, finishes off with an enticing tease for the upcoming game. It states, “So get ready for a new adventure. In development for Nintendo Switch.” This has confirmed that the game will be available for the Switch.

To be honest, Nintendo deserves credit for keeping the Switch relevant with new releases even after nearly seven years. We still don’t know how long it’ll go on, or when will its successor see the light of the day.

The Dragon Quest Monsters series, known as Dragon Warrior Monsters in North America, started out on the Game Boy Color in Japan on September 25, 1998. With the franchise set to reach its 25th anniversary on September 25, 2023, this announcement couldn’t have come at a better time.

The game will surely bring a wave of nostalgia for longtime players while also offering a fresh experience for the younger generation.

While this is all we know for now, rest assured that we will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
