Spider-Man 2 Trial Available for PlayStation Plus Premium Members

The highly anticipated trial for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 becomes available exclusively for PlayStation Plus Premium members. This means players can now swing into action and experience a taste of the web-slinging adventure that has captivated audiences worldwide.

During this two-hour, time-limited trial, players have the opportunity to make significant progress and earn trophies, all of which will seamlessly carry over should they decide to dive into the full game experience. Spider-Man 2, developed by Insomniac Games, soared onto the gaming scene last October with resounding acclaim, solidifying its position as one of the studio’s most revered titles.

Sony, the powerhouse behind PlayStation, proudly announced Spider-Man 2’s meteoric success, touting it as the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game in history. Within a mere 24 hours of its release, the game soared off shelves, with a staggering 2.5 million copies sold. In just 11 days, that number skyrocketed to over five million copies, further cementing its status as a blockbuster hit.

Despite its already stellar reception, Insomniac Games continues to refine the Spider-Man 2 experience. The studio recently disclosed ongoing efforts to enhance the game with a New Game Plus update, originally slated for release last year but now set for early 2024. 

This update promises additional features such as audio descriptions, customizable time of day, color variations for tendrils, and the ability to replay missions, ensuring that players will have even more reasons to revisit the captivating world of Spider-Man.

In addition to the Spider-Man 2 trial, February brings a fresh lineup of PlayStation Plus Essential games for subscribers to enjoy. Foamstars, Rollerdrome, and Steelrising are now available for download on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, offering a diverse selection of gaming experiences.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. PlayStation Plus members can also look forward to new costumes and cosmetics for Fall Guys, featuring beloved mascots from iconic PlayStation franchises such as Ratchet and Clank, and Horizon’s Aloy.
