Fix: Your Econ Ticket Failed Verification
You may encounter Econ ticket failed verification error due to the “trust” issues between the inventory server of the game and Steam client. Moreover, an outdated version of the game and Steam client may also cause the error under discussion. The affected user encounters the error when he tries to join a server for a multiplayer game. Also, the issue is not limited to a particular server.
Solution 1: Restart the Game and Steam Client
The issue could be a result of the temporary malfunction of software/communication modules. The issue can be cleared by restarting the game and Steam client.
- Exit the game/Steam client and kill all of the related processes through the Windows Task Manager.
- Now relaunch the Steam client/game with administrator privileges and check if the problem is solved.
- If not, exit the game/Steam client and restart your system.
- Upon restart, relaunch the game/Steam client and check if the problem is solved.
- If not, then Logout of the Steam client and restart your system.
- Upon restart, launch the Steam and Login using your Steam credentials.
- Now launch the game and check if the problem is solved.
Solution 2: Verify the Integrity of the Game Cache
The files essential for the operation of the game can get corrupt due to many factors like a sudden power failure and can be the reason behind the current verification issue. In this context, using the built-in tool of Steam client to verify the integrity of the game cache may solve the problem.
- Launch the Steam client and navigate to the Library.
- Now right-click on Unturned and select Properties.
- Then navigate to the Local Files tab and click on the button of Verify Integrity of Game Cache.
- Now, wait for the completion of the verification process.
- Then launch the game and check if it is operating fine.
Solution 3: Turn off Cosmetics, Clothing, and Skins of All the Inventory Items
The use of cosmetics/characters’ clothing and skins is common while playing the game. But if the Steam client could not verify the authenticity of your inventory server, then the error under discussion will be thrown. In this situation, removing cosmetics, character clothing, and skins of all your inventory items may solve the problem.
- Open the inventory of your game and de-equip cosmetics, clothing, and skins of all the items (including weapons like guns and knives, etc.). Also, make sure no cosmetics are applied to any of your game characters.
- Now restart your Steam client and launch the game to check if the problem is solved.
- If not, again open the inventory of your game and equip/de-equip every item one by one (a tedious task if you have a lot of inventory items).
- Now restart your Steam client and launch the game to check if the problem is solved.
- If not, then check the operation of the game by deleting the crates in the inventory of the game.
- If the game is still encountering the issue, check if any market items are pending, if so, remove the market items and then equip/de-equip market items as well to check if the game is clear of the error.
- If you are still having issues, then you need to find a trusted Steam account (of a friend or your other account) and trade all of your tradable items to that account.
- Once your inventory is clear of all the tradable items, launch the game and check if it is clear of the error. If so, then trade back your inventory items to the account.
- If the game is still not clear of the error, then verify the integrity of the game cache (as discussed in solution 2) and de-equip every cosmetic, character clothing, and skin.
- Now exit your Steam client and wait for at least two hours.
- Then launch the Steam client and game to check if the game is clear of the error.
Solution 4: Update the Game and Steam Client to the Latest Built
The Unturned game and Steam client are updated to improve performance by patching the known bugs and satiate the technological advancements. You may encounter the error at hand if you are using an outdated version of the Game and Steam client. In this scenario, updating the Game and Steam client may solve the problem.

- After updating the game, check if the game is clear of the error.
- If not, then on the home screen of your Steam client, open the Steam menu.
- Now click on Check for Steam Client Updates.
- Now check if the game is working fine.
Solution 5: Reinstall the Game
You may encounter the error at hand if the installation of the game itself is corrupt and verifying the game cache did not help. In this context, reinstalling Unturned may solve the problem.
- Launch the Steam client and near the top left, open the Steam Menu.
- Now click on Settings and then in the left pane of the window, click on Downloads.
- Then click on Clear Download Cache.

- Then go to the installation directory of the game and delete any leftovers there.
- Now exit the Steam client and restart your system.
- Upon restart, reinstall the game and check if it is clear of the error.
Solution 6: Reinstall the Steam Client
If nothing has helped you so far, then most probably the installation of the Steam client is corrupt and is causing the issue. In this context, reinstalling the Steam client may solve the problem.
- Uninstall Unturned as discussed in solution 5.
- Now exit the Steam client and make sure no Steam-related processes are running in the Task Manager.
- Now backup the Steamapps folder from the installation directory of the client. Usually, it is:
C:\Program Files\Steam
- Now type Control Panel in the Windows Search box (on the Taskbar of your system) and in the list of results shown, click on Control Panel.
- Now click on Uninstall a Program.
- Then in the list of installed applications, select Steam and click on Uninstall.
- Now follow the prompts on your screen to complete the Steam uninstallation process.
- Now restart your system and then reinstall the Steam client.
- Then reinstall Unturned and hopefully, the problem is solved.
