The Witcher 3’s Next Gen Update Finally Gets a Release Date, Following Multiple Delays

We are relieved that CD Projekt Red has stayed true to their word after all those delays. In a tweet on the official The Witcher Twitter account, developer CD Projekt Red confirmed the release date of the next-gen update for The Witcher 3. Fans will finally get what they’ve been waiting for, but there’s a catch!

CD Projekt Red confirmed the December release date for The Witcher in a tweet, sticking to its original promise of a release in Q4 2022. CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s next-gen update will launch on December 14. In addition to the latest consoles, the update will also be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Those who already own the game will be able to get the update for free. However, this announcement only applies to the digital version of the game, as the developer has stated that a physical release date will be announced later.

When in the hands of Saber Interactive, the free upgrade had multiple delays from its original 2020 release date. After taking over, CDPR declared that progress on the upgrade was “in full swing,” denying reports that it had been stuck in “development hell.”

The update will include graphic and technological improvements over the original game, as well as the Netflix-exclusive DLCs. times This version will include support for Ray Tracing, will offer shorter loading times, and a number of mods.

Next week, additional information regarding these mods and other features will be released during a Twitch Livestream, so stay tuned as we will keep you informed.
