Starfield Finally Gets a Release Date, Launching September 6, 2023

After years of anticipation, Starfield finally has a release date of September 6, 2023. Bethesda announced the news in a tweet, causing a great deal of excitement among gamers who have been eagerly awaiting any news about the highly anticipated title.

Bethesda also announced that a Starfield Direct event is scheduled for June 11, 2023. This will likely be the studio’s chance to show off new gameplay footage, reveal more details about the game’s story and mechanics, and perhaps even announce special editions or pre-order bonuses.

Starfield’s director Todd Howard made the announcement in the video, telling fans that on June 11th, they will be able to attend a special Starfield event where they could learn more about the game. While the showcase is still a few months away, we have reported on everything we know so far about the game.

It’s Not the First Time!

While many fans are excited for the game, this isn’t the first time that we are getting a proper release date for the game.

Starfield’s launch was pushed back from its original date of November 11th, 2022, disappointing many fans. Nonetheless, 15 minutes of Starfield gameplay were shown off during the Xbox & Bethesda event earlier this year, giving gamers a glimpse into the game’s gameplay dynamics.

While this is all we know at this point, it is great that we will be getting a showcase soon, where more information about the game will be revealed. As of now, all we can confirm is that the game WILL be an Xbox exclusive, irrespective of what the rumors say.

Starfield releases on Xbox Series S/X and PC on September 6th and will be available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
