Morio Kishimoto, director of Sonic Frontiers, Tweeted after the game was released globally, assuring the fans that the devs are positively taking all the constructive criticism. And all this feedback will be put to work for a positive outcome.

I’m sorry I couldn’t contact you because I’ve been busy since the release date. I’m relieved that the release date has arrived and that it seems to have reached everyone safely. We are checking the opinions of the critics and everyone. As you pointed out, we still have a long way to go, and we take this seriously as a global playtest.

He also used a very noteworthy term for the game’s launch in his tweet; he stated the launch as a ‘global playtest,’ which clearly indicates that the devs have plans to launch post-launch updates to further polish the game and make it better in the areas it lacked.

Morio Kishimoto wrote another tweet, appreciating the love and support fans gave the game at launch; he further assured fans that the open-world nature of Sonic Frontiers carter endless possibilities and the teams are working hard to take the franchise to greater heights.

I got a lot of energy from everyone’s comments! I am very honored that so many people enjoyed it! After more than 10 years of trial and error, I was finally able to create this work. Open Zone is full of possibilities. Sonic games become more interesting. We will continue to challenge ourselves to greater heights.
