NVIDIA’s Rumored RTX 40 “SUPER” Naming Scheme Doesn’t Make Sense At All
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” family is hardly a secret, however, one specific SKU stood out owing to its unusual naming scheme. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is a graphics card that uses both the “SUPER” and the “Ti” branding. Even though the leakers were strongly against NVIDIA’s choice of name for this product, the most recent packaging leak from MEGAsizeGPU suggests that the business has given the project its approval.
If this box is genuine, then it validates the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” series branding and the specific SKU within the family. The leaker, MEGASizeGPU has previously been accurate regarding the leaks but still take it with a grain of salt. The card’s outline may be green, silver, or black, so seeing what colour it is will be exciting. The cards will likely feature slight modifications to the Founders Edition design, but AIBs are where the real change will be.
The AD103-275 / AD102-175 GPU SKUs of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card are believed to share the same 8,448 CUDA cores and 48 MB of L2 cache. It is expected that the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will have a TDP not far over the 285W level of the current 4070 Ti.
It is anticipated that the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” Refresh would have the same power requirements and pricing structure as the existing Non-SUPER series. More leaks are to be expected as we get closer to the official launch window, which, according to a new rumour, will be at CES 2024 for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” series.
