OPPO launched the OPPO A78 5G earlier this year in January 2023. After nearly 10 months, the company is now preparing to launch the successor to the OPPO A78 5G, which will be called the OPPO A79 5G. The OPPO A79 5G has recently obtained multiple certifications from various countries’ regulatory bodies, suggesting an imminent launch.
While OPPO has yet to issue an official statement about the launch of the OPPO A79 5G, we can confirm that the company is planning to introduce it in India soon. Starting with the screen, the OPPO A79 5G will feature a 6.72-inch LCD panel with a center punch-hole cutout. The display boasts an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 680 nits, a 91.4% screen-to-body ratio, a 1400:1 contrast ratio, and a 96% NTSC color gamut.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor. It will come equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Additionally, it will support RAM expansion of up to 8GB, with options for 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB levels of expansion. The phone will also feature a memory card slot for expanding storage up to 1TB.
