Leak Reveals Exciting New Characters for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is reportedly getting new characters added to its roster of drivers. According to a recent leak, several new DLC drivers have been found within the game’s files, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come in the future.

The leak came from a Twitter user named @teebeeYT, who claimed to work on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and had access to the game’s content files. In a series of tweets, he revealed that he had seen new driver files added to the game’s “content/driver” folder, which strongly suggested that new drivers would be added in the future.

@teebeeYT also listed the names of the new drivers that he had been seen in the files, which included King Bob-omb, Petey Piranha, Hammer Bro, Chargin Chuck, Monty Mole, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, SNES Mario, Kamek, Pauline, and Nabbit. These characters are well-known to fans of the Mario franchise, and many have appeared in previous Mario Kart games.

The leak also included the names of several new tracks that could potentially be added in the future. @teebeeYT mentioned that he had heard a few of the track songs for “wave 4” with his co-workers, and listed the following track names: Cnsw_42 Wii DK Summit, Cnsw_43 DS Mario Circuit, and Cnsw_44 (which he speculated might be a tour track).

It’s important to note that while @teebeeYT’s claims have not been officially confirmed by Nintendo, many fans are taking the leak seriously. If true, the addition of new drivers and tracks would be a welcome update for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which has already proven to be a popular and long-lasting game (for context, it was released almost six years ago) on the Nintendo Switch.

The addition of characters like King Bob-omb and Petey Piranha would be particularly exciting for fans, as they have not appeared as playable characters in a Mario Kart game before. The inclusion of more female characters like Dixie Kong and Pauline is also a positive development, as it adds more diversity to the game’s roster.

If these leaks turn out to be true, it’s safe to say that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. With new drivers and tracks, the game’s content will only continue to grow, making it one of the most popular titles on the Nintendo Switch.
