Gang Beasts is a great game to play with friends and is perfect when you’re just looking to goof around. Initially released on PC and PS4, it was released for Xbox One in 2019 and the Nintendo Switch port was released in 2021. Since it’s been nearly 3 years since Gang Beasts was released on almost all platforms, the only question that remains is; does Gang Beasts have cross-platform multiplayer support?
Unfortunately, even after nearly 7 years, Gang Beasts does not have cross-platform multiplayer support. It’s not surprising that an indie game does not have cross-platform support, due to it being a very difficult feature to implement and as such takes a lot of time to develop.
The only form of cross-platform that exists in Gang Beasts is that players on Xbox can play with their added family members on a Windows PC, who downloaded the game from the Xbox Store on PC.
It has been nearly 3 years since the Switch version of Gang Beasts came out, and there are still no signs of cross platform support. However, all hope is not lost, as the developers have stated on their FAQs page that they are working on developing cross-platform support. So, we have no choice but to wait and hope that they finish their work as soon as possible. Meanwhile, enjoy these alternatives with your friends while you wait!
