Insiders Believe Sony Holds Hidden Surprises, More AAA Titles to Soon be Revealed
Back at the showcase, we got our first look at lots of new, unreleased titles, but nothing too much to be excited about. After nearly two years, and with their extensive library of exclusives, fans had high hopes for Sony, but the event left many of them feeling let down.
Well, seems as if Sony has other plans in the books. Some prominent insiders in the community believe that Sony had several undisclosed announcements in their back pocket, potentially hinting at more surprise reveals or even additional showcase events in the future.
Tom Henderson, a well-respected insider with a proven track record of accurate leaks, has hinted at Sony’s hidden announcements. He even believes that due to a vast amount of stuff hidden, it’s possible that we could have another showcase scheduled this year. However, that’s not confirmed either.
Likewise, The Snitch, another industry insider has joined in, suggesting that Sony has more surprises in store for the gaming community. He made the comment via his Discord server, and when asked if Sony has any announcement regarding any AAA games, he replied in affirmative.
Whilst Jim Ryan said that: “we look forward to sharing more information in the near future,” when talking about Project Q, he didn’t necessarily hint at anything that would point towards another showcase or sharing more information in the future.
Sony has promised to reveal its upcoming titles this year, including Horizon Multiplayer and Death Stranding 2, but it is not clear when this is going to happen. People were also eager to see the PS5’s detachable disc drive, but we saw nothing of that either.
Sony has a history of shrewd marketing and unexpected announcements, so it’s not out of the question to imagine that the company has some hidden gems waiting for their day in the spotlight. The company has done surprise announcements and exclusive events in the past that made fans excited and looking forward to more.
If these rumors turn out to be true, players can look forward to a longer list of games and maybe more chances to see these games come out. You may not like it at first, but unannounced announcements provide an extra degree of excitement, and from Sony’s point of view, it’s a great way to keep your audience interested and expecting more news and shows.
Remember that plans might change and not every rumor turns out to be true while we wait for more confirmation from Sony or additional leaks from industry sources. This is all we know for now but rest assured that we will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
