Each Halo Infinite multiplayer update, like most modern online games, is tested for quite some time before being released. Leaks are a significant problem for 343 Industries due to their massive playtesting operation, and sometimes it’s difficult to contain them, and most of the time, we see stuff before it is actually released.
And according to one Halo insider, 343 Industries has plans to add a new weapon to Halo Infinite, complete with its own set of unique animations. However, the source claims that the unnamed weapon is not scheduled to appear until Season 6, so it looks like we won’t see it until then. Additionally, the leak has sparked speculation that the developer is working on more than 20 new maps, as well as alternative wallpapers for the game’s main menu and matchmaking screen.

The leaks include new story events and artificial intelligence NPCs like Brutes, Elites, and Grunts being tested in Forge. The long-awaited cooperative PvE Firefight mode is also in development, as are new weapons and vehicles.
According to the leaks, Halo Infinite will be updated with three to five new maps, a new weapon, and the Infection game mode for the upcoming Season 3 “Echoes Within,” which is scheduled to release at the beginning of next month. All signs indicate that the AI machine Iratus will play a significant role in the plot of Season 3.
