The game takes players back to the franchise’s Middle East origins, specifically Baghdad in the 9th Century, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will transport them to a rich historical setting. The protagonist of the game is Basim, who will lead players on a journey through the streets of ancient Baghdad.
The recent trailer showcased some new gameplay elements that fans can look forward to. One notable feature is the introduction of “Assassin’s Focus,” allowing players to mark and eliminate multiple targets in quick succession.
Additionally, a visually stunning pole vault move has been introduced to enhance the parkour movement mechanics, adding a stylish touch to the game that had been the subject of criticism in the past few main editions.
For those familiar with the lore of Assassin’s Creed, Mirage introduces a really captivating storyline. Basim, the game’s protagonist, is revealed to be a reincarnation of the Norse deity Loki, as shown in the series. Notably, Basim previously served as a mentor to Eivor in the acclaimed 2020 release, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, further deepening the narrative connections within the franchise.
