Sony Announces Eleven New Titles for PSVR2

Sony has unveiled eleven new games for PSVR2 just hours after the release date was revealed. Some of these games have already appeared on other platforms, while others are making their PSVR debut.

Sony has already shown off some of the titles that will be included with this new VR gear, like Horizon Call of the Mountain, and Resident Evil Village, among others.

According to PlayStation Blog, Crossfire: Sierra Squad, The Light Brigade, Cities VR – Enhanced Edition, Cosmonious High, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, Jurassic World Aftermath Collection, Pistol Whip VR, Zenith: The Last City, After the Fall, and Tentacular are the eleven new titles that will be added to the platform at launch.

While Sony has not confirmed every game that will be available on PSVR2’s launch day, the company has claimed that it expects more than 20 titles to be available. All of these games reportedly have a release window of 2023.

Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue is a virtual reality (VR) adaptation of the classic suburb horror series. In addition, The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR, is an on-rails shooter with a more action-oriented focus than the typical survival tone of the developer’s horror franchise.

The Light Brigade is marketed as a roguelike in which you explore procedurally generated ancient environments in between gunfights. This is a game that can be purchased for both the PSVR 2 and the original PSVR. As a virtual reality port of Korean developer Smilegate’s classic first-person shooter, Crossfire: Sierra Squad is yet another shooter, but it appears to be more of a military-themed spray-and-pray affair.

The other games are ones that will be ported to PSVR2 from other platforms. Although we don’t have many specifics to share just yet, rest assured that we will keep you posted on any and all developments about this headset that we hear about.
