Sonic Frontiers Dev Team is Determined to take the Franchise to Greater Heights, Morio Kishimoto

Sonic Frontiers was released on 8th November 2022, and the game received mixed reviews. Still, the fans loved it, and they are all in for a new Sonic Experience in an open world that Sonic Frontiers offers. The game is currently sitting at a solid 72/100 critic score on Metacritic; on the other hand, the game got an excellent user rating of 8.7.

It shows that fans loved the unique open-world aspect of the new Sonic game, leading the franchise in a new direction. Morio Kishimoto, director of Sonic Frontiers, Tweeted after the game was released globally, assuring the fans that the devs are positively taking all the constructive criticism. And all this feedback will be put to work for a positive outcome.

He also used a very noteworthy term for the game’s launch in his tweet; he stated the launch as a ‘global playtest,’ which clearly indicates that the devs have plans to launch post-launch updates to further polish the game and make it better in the areas it lacked. 

Morio Kishimoto wrote another tweet, appreciating the love and support fans gave the game at launch; he further assured fans that the open-world nature of Sonic Frontiers carter endless possibilities and the teams are working hard to take the franchise to greater heights.

Sonic Frontiers is also looking promising on Steam charts as the game has managed to break the record of peak concurrent players in any Sonic game with over 19,181 concurrent players on Steam, beating the previous record of 11,937 concurrent players set by Sonic Mania.
