AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT Will Launch in the Last Week of January
Through an ECC filing yesterday, it was rumored that AMD is preparing to launch at least 3 new GPUs. These include the Radeon RX 7700, RX 7800, and the RX 7600 XT.
Benchlife, according to various reliable sources, reports that AMD will launch the Radeon RX 7600 XT in the last week of January. The remaining 2 SKUs; the RX 7700 and RX 7800 are currently not under consideration by AMD.
AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT Launching in Late January
The EEC is a repository where various companies register or file their upcoming products before launch. These listings do not mean that the product is guaranteed to hit shelves, though in rare cases they do, as is the case with today’s RX 7600 XT.
Arktek, an AIB from Hong Kong registered a number of GPUs at the EEC, including the RX 7600 XT. In correspondence to what we stated above, this does not hint towards an imminent launch. However, Benchlife gave some much-required insight concerning these GPUs.
Allegedly, the RX 7600 XT is launching alongside the RTX 4070 Ti Super in the last week of January. The report says, and I quote “it is expected to be released in the week of January 22“. Thus, interested consumers should expect an announcement in the last 9-10 days of January.
Slightly deviating from today’s topic, the Ryzen 8000G AM5 APU lineup is expected to arrive on the 31st of January. Since AMD is likely to hold an event that day, it would make sense for the company to use this opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
Rumored Specifications
As of now, there are no confirmed or exact specifications of the RX 7600 XT. Moreover, even the rumor mill has run dry, so we can only speculate until further clarification. Previous EEC filings hint that the RX 7600 XT uses 10GB or 12GB of memory, the latter of which we’d love to see.
A 10GB configuration would use 160 bits of memory, whereas you’d see a 192-bit memory bus for 12GB. None of these options are available under the Navi33 umbrella of GPUs. So we could see the RX 7600 XT use Navi32, although that is yet to be seen.
