Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Gameplay Leaks Online, But It Doesn’t Last Long
Cyberpunk 2077’s “spy-thriller expansion,” Phantom Liberty, is set to launch next week. While some reviews have surfaced online ahead of embargos, most of them didn’t provide any particularly interesting insights.
However, just moments ago, a post was uploaded to the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, showcasing nearly an hour and a half of gameplay from CDPR’s upcoming expansion for the public to view.
Within minutes, the website hosting the video went down, and as of the time of this writing, the Reddit post has also been removed. The video on YouTube has also been removed; however, a large number of people had already seen it before it was taken down.
In the footage, we see the opening sequences of this expansion, along with the story progression for the first hour. The visuals were impressive, and the gameplay appeared significantly improved, unlike the 2020 Cyberpunk release.
The reviews for Phantom Liberty are also making their way online, and they are mostly positive, with a MetaCritic score of 88. Most reviewers have awarded it ratings of around 90%. Reports suggest that there are many subtle changes, such as the integration of DLSS 3.5 and a more mature storytelling approach, which probably positions it as one of the best DLCs released in recent times (we’ll have to wait until the public release to see though).
All in all, the expansion elevates Cyberpunk in almost every aspect, and the release of DLSS 3.5 ensures that even owners of older gen GPUs can experience the game to its fullest potential.
This is all we know for now, but rest assured that we will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
