Monster Hunter Rise Confirmed for PlayStation, Awaiting Xbox’s Announcement
Capcom‘s third best-selling game is expected to arrive on consoles next month. It was earlier speculated that Monster Hunter Rise will finally arrive on Xbox via the Game Pass next month, in January 2023. While this may seem like official news from Xbox, it should be noted that it was based on rumors that had not yet been confirmed.
Moreover, Tom Henderson stated that Monster Hunter Rise will be ported to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X in the year 2023. He indicated that, in his opinion, the game will most probably be listed for purchase on both the PlayStation and the Xbox on January 20, 2023.
The hunt continues when Monster Hunter Rise hits PS5 and PS4 on January 20, 2023. The PS5 version includes enhanced visuals and performance, plus immersive DualSense controller features.

This morning, Sony officially confirmed that the game would be released for PS5 and PS4 next month, with improved visuals and support for Sony’s proprietary DualSense controller. However, we continue to wait for Microsoft to release any official statements.
There is also a high chance that the game might be announced via The Game Awards, being held on December 8th. It is rumored that the ports will support 4K resolution and 3-D audio. Previously, the game was released for Nintendo Switch and PC with over 11.2 million copies sold worldwide.
Monster Hunter Rise has received nothing but praise from critics, and its inclusion in Game Pass would be huge for the fans and the platform alike. Therefore, Game Pass subscribers are likely to enjoy the game even if it has been available on Switch for the last 1.5 years.
Watch for the Sunbreak expansion coming this spring if you’ve already played the main game. It won’t be until the 8th that we’ll know for sure if the game is finally released. Also, if the game is announced, please share your thoughts on the news and whether or not you believe it will receive the same level of success as it did on Nintendo and PC in the comments.
