macOS Tahoe 26: Full List of Supported Macs

Every Mac That Gets the Update

At WWDC ’25, Apple announced macOS Tahoe 26, which drops support for several older Intel-based Mac models. The update features a fresh new “Liquid Glass” design and major updates to features like Continuity and Spotlight.

Here is a list of Macs that are eligible for the macOS 26 update:

  • MacBook Pro (16‑inch, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro 2020 (13‑inch, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Air 2020 with Apple Silicon and later.
  • MacBook Pro 2020 with Apple Silicon and later.
  • Mac mini 2020 and later.
  • iMac 2020 and later.
  • Mac Studio 2022 and later.
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later.

Note: All Apple Silicon (M-series) models are eligible for the update.


Older models, including the 2020 MacBook Air and 2019 MacBook Pro, have been phased out of this update. Here’s the list of devices that didn’t make the cut:

  • MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018)
  • iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)
  • iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019)
  • iMac Pro (2017)
  • Mac mini (2018)
