iPhone 17’s Design Is Inspired By the Dynamic Island

As we inch closer to the next iPhone launch, rumors about the iPhone 17’s redesigned rear cameras are heating up.
If leaked details hold true, Apple’s 2025 lineup could feature three distinct camera layouts across the iPhone 17 series—a significant visual shakeup.
Reliable leaker Majin Bu recently shared a CAD-based illustration of the iPhone 17 Pro models. These premium devices are expected to keep the triangular three-camera arrangement but position them on a sleek horizontal “camera bar.” This design resembles the visor-style camera housing seen on Google’s Pixel phones, though Apple appears to be refining it for a more seamless look.
The standard iPhone 17 reportedly sticks with last year’s vertical dual-camera layout (first seen on the iPhone 16), moving away from the diagonal setup of older models.
Meanwhile, the rumored iPhone Air—potentially replacing the iPhone 16 Plus—could debut a slim horizontal camera visor housing a single rear lens, marking a bold minimalist approach.

While some speculate that Apple is taking cues from Google’s Pixel series, others argue this aligns with Apple’s focus on design harmony. The horizontal camera bar might complement the Dynamic Island notch on the front, creating visual consistency between the phone’s face and back—a subtle but intentional design choice.

One rumored feature that might not survive to production is the secondary rear display shown in early concepts. While exciting, Apple often streamlines prototypes before launch—only time will tell if this experimental feature makes the cut. We’ll continue monitoring leaks and will share verified updates as they emerge.
