Fix: Login Failed Check Your Info in Warframe
Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter video game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Originally released for Microsoft Windows in March 2013, it was later ported to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of cryosleep to find themselves at war in a planetary system with different factions.
However, quite recently a lot of reports have been coming in by users who are unable to login to the game and the error message displays “Login Failed Check Your Info“. This error prohibits the user from logging into the game and from the web service of the game. In this article, we will inform you about the cause of the issue and provide you with viable solutions in order to ensure complete eradication of the issue.
What Causes the ” Login Failed Check Your Info” Error in Warframe?
The cause of the problem is specific and it is:
- IP Ban: Most of the times the IP protocol used by the ISPs is the IPV4 Protocol. In this type of protocol, the same IP addresses are handed over to numerous computers. Now if one of the computers with the same IP addresses has any malicious traffic on his end the game servers end up banning that IP address. This results in all the computers using that IP address getting banned.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the cause of the problem we will be moving on towards the solutions.
Solution 1: Restart Your Internet Router.
Sometimes, when you restart the internet router the ISP might assign you a different IP address due to which the ban on your IP might be lifted. For that:
- Unplug the power from the internet router
- Wait for at least 5 minutes
- Replug the power and wait until internet access is granted.
- Try to run the game and check to see if the problem persists.
If this step does not solve the issue don’t worry as it is the most basic troubleshooting step in solving the problem. Move on towards the next solution.
Solution 2: Switch to IPV6 Connection.
The problem is pretty much isolated to the users with IPV4 protocol and no such error was reported from users with IPV6 protocol because with IPV6 protocols the IP address of each user is unique there is no chance of anyone else getting access to the same IP address as you and for you to get banned for using malicious traffic. Therefore, ask your ISP for an IPV6 connection; only some ISPs support this type of connection so if yours, do they will upgrade your service to the IPV6 protocol. If they don’t support IPV6 protocol then move on towards the next solution.
Solution 3: Use a VPN/Proxy.
When you connect to the Internet using a VPN the connection is diverted through the VPN and the IP address is not traced back to yours. It means that the VPN assigns you another IP address and your own is masked. Doing so might successfully elude the security of the servers. Once connected to the game you can continue to use the VPN and play.
Solution 4: Using a HotSpot.
Using your mobile phone’s connection to connect to the internet through hotspot will simply change your IP address because the mobile’s ISP will provide you with a different IP address. This will bypass the IP ban and you will be able to connect to the game servers easily. But most mobile hotspot’s don’t provide a stable connection with the PC especially during gaming so this step is ideal only for users with a good mobile ISP.
