Like I mentioned earlier, Ash and AO both main Kunimitsu, and the match was a close one throughout. However, it seemed like Ash was able to execute his gameplan more effectively, and he eventually closed out the match with a 3-1 victory.
In the second last set, Ash lost to AO after AO picked his preferred arena. However, in the last set, Ash seemed to have a better understanding of what he needed to do in order to win. He was able to read AO’s playstyle and counter his moves effectively.
The entire match was a display of two of the best Kunimitsu players in the world. However, it was clear that Ash was doing a better job of executing his gameplan. He was able to effectively counter AO’s combos and deal more damage than AO.
This is Ash’s fifth grand finals appearance at the EVO USA for Tekken 7, and he will be looking to win his fourth title in five years. he’ll also be the first person to do so in the history of EVO Tekken. His opponent in the grand finals will be announced later today.
