Activate SoundCloud on Android, Smart TV, Console and Others
Activating SoundCloud on Android, Smart TVs, consoles, and other devices means connecting your SoundCloud account using a code that appears on your screen. This step is needed because many of these devices don’t have a full keyboard, which makes typing in your login details difficult.

To activate, first install the SoundCloud app on your device and open it to get an activation code. Then, use another device, like your phone or computer, to go to the activation website and enter the code there to sign in. Make sure you use the activation code quickly, as it can expire if you wait too long.
1. Install the SoundCloud App on Your Device
- First, open the app store on your device (such as the Play Store) and search for SoundCloud.
Search, Install, and Open SoundCloud in Play Store - Select the SoundCloud app from the search results and tap Install.
- Once the app is installed, open the SoundCloud application.
- Log in with your existing account, or sign up for a new account. If you’re creating a new account, make sure to verify your email address, otherwise you might not get full access to all features.
Create an Account or Sign in on the SoundCloud App - Feel free to explore the SoundCloud app and adjust your preferences if you wish.
2. Install the SoundCloud App on Your TV or Console
- Repeat the steps above on your TV, gaming console, or any other device you want to pair.
- If prompted, log in with the same account you used on your phone. This ensures the pairing works correctly. If you see a code on your screen, continue to the next steps.
3. Pair the Devices
- If a pairing code appears on your TV or console, open a web browser on your phone (or any internet-connected device) and go to:
https://soundcloud.com/activate
Copy the SoundCloud Code from Your TV or Console - Log in with the same SoundCloud account you used before.
- Enter the code shown on your TV or console into the website.
Enter the Code from Your TV or Console on the SoundCloud Website - Now your devices should be paired and ready to use!
Please note: When you start playing music on another device, the primary device may display the following message:
Paused because you started playing on another device.
