Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Could be Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released on 10th November 2020. It mainly got positive reviews, and the reviewers praised its combat style and gameplay. It is the twelfth entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and it was a commercial hit selling more copies in the first week of its release than any other Assassin’s Creed title in the series.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, the game is only available on Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store to buy on PC and is still missing from the most popular PC gaming marketplace, Steam.
Recently rumors of it finally coming to Steam surfaced on the internet when someone reversed engineered the Ubisoft Connect App and found Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title associated with Steam DB. However, this rumor is still not confirmed by any official sources.
On the other hand, if we talk about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s presence on the Subscription services, then this department is also limited to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers and Ubisoft’s own subscription service, Ubisoft+ only.
It is missing from Xbox Game Pass that has become the most popular gaming subscription service in the recent times due to the value it offers in an economical price. Yesterday, XPG spotted an Xbox Game Pass logo on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla display image on the Polish version of the Xbox Store.

XPG further reveals that the logo appeared for a short period of time, but they were lucky to save a screen capture before it finally disappeared. So we can not say anything solid yet, and this could be a mistake by Xbox Store.
Still, if we go by the past trends, multiple Assassin’s Creed titles were added to Xbox Game Pass this year, including Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. And it looks like Ubisoft has realized the potential of the Xbox Game Pass and how much reach it has in terms of subscribers.
This helps the companies like Ubisoft to introduce their premium titles to a new audience which ultimately paves the path to success for the upcoming titles in the franchise. It will be interesting to see how this rumor unfolds further.
There is no official confirmation or statement from Ubisoft or Xbox, so it will be wise to take this rumor with a grain of salt. What are your thoughts about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla coming to Xbox Game Pass? Are you excited? Let us know in the comment section below.
