Error 30005: Create File Failed With 32 ‘couldn’t start the game’

The “Error 30005: Create File Failed With 32” happens when a game with Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) can’t start because it conflicts with other system processes. This error means EAC couldn’t create a needed file, usually because another process, like antivirus software or background tasks, is already using it.

The most common cause is the EasyAntiCheat.sys file being locked by security software, such as Windows Defender. Other causes can be outdated Windows updates or not fully closing previous game sessions.

1. Delete the SYS File

This issue can happen if the EasyAntiCheat.sys file is damaged or locked, preventing the game from starting. Deleting this file makes Easy Anti-Cheat create a new one when you next start the game, fixing any issues. This step helps by ensuring the system isn’t trying to use a file that can’t be accessed because of earlier problems or background tasks.

1. Press “Windows” + “E” to open File Explorer.
2. In the File Explorer, search for “EasyAntiCheat.sys” using the search bar.
3. Right-click on the “EasyAntiCheat.sys” file and select “Delete”.
