Samsung’s new phones are coming at Galaxy Unpacked on July 9th

Samsung has confirmed that its third Galaxy Unpacked event for the year will take place on July 9th, 10 AM ET. This Unpacked will follow January’s Galaxy S25 series launch event and May’s reveal of the Galaxy S25 Edge. This time, there’s a lot to expect, too.

Here’s what Samsung might have in store for the July event:

Last year, the Fold 6s were unveiled in the summer, so it’s not unreasonable to expect the same this time around with the Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 as well. Plus, the marketing material and event invitations it sent out clearly show that the Folds will be front and centre, the event’s main focus.

The invitation video also mentions “Ultra Unfolds,” which is likely a reference to a new entrant in the Fold lineup. From what we’ve gathered, it looks like the same book-style fold, albeit with the best bits taken from its counterparts, in the S-Ultra series.

It’s also likely that the Samsung Watch 8 series will get a release date at the event. Leaks have been making headlines for the new design for quite some time, so it will be interesting to see how the final product fares compared to the “leaked” CAD renders.

Earlier this week, we reported that Samsung’s next-gen XR headset may also get some stage time at the event, possibly with a September release date. Dubbed “Project Moohan,” this headset will look to compete against Meta’s Quest 3 and Apple’s Vision Pro. Because both of these come at a different price point, it will be interesting to see what position Samsung takes.
