Radeon RX 7700 12GB & RX 7800 16GB to Cost $449 and $549 Respectively

AMD is set to unveil its Navi32 lineup of GPUs in late August, with a release planned for early September. All_The_Watts has given us price expectations for both the RX 7700 and the RX 7800. For the unaware, this same user leaked the performance levels of both GPUs.

Radeon RX 7700 & RX 7800 Price Expectations

While this is not a confirmed leak, this pricing structure coincides with the one proposed by MLID. Prices can change at the last second since AMD has done that with the RX 7600. Nothing is set in stone until the GPUs hit shelves so take this expectation with a grain of salt.

Apparently, the RX 7700 will cost $449 with the RX 7800 coming in at $549. This is not an ideal strategy by AMD, as users have voiced their concerns. However, despite these price tags, AMD can still be a better purchase, at least by the cost-per-frame statistics.

The Radeon RX 7700 & the RX 7800 will be announced in August during Gamescom. The actual launch date will be sometime in early September. Speaking of the specifications, both GPUs will feature the Navi32 chip boasting 4 MCDs which engulf a single GCD.

Navi32 Die Shot | Forbes

The Radeon RX 7900 series featured AMD’s top-of-the-line Navi31 GPU with the RX 7600 packing Navi33. The mid-range Navi32 will arrive with the release of the RX 7700 and the RX 7800. Speaking of the specifications, the RX 7800 16GB packs the full-fat Navi32 chip with all 60 CUs enabled.

On the flip side, the RX 7700 12GB will make use of a cut-down Navi32 chip with 54 or 48 CUs. Both the RX 7700 and the RX 7800 are within the same power consumption tier with the former consuming 245W, and the latter sipping 260W of power.

Performance

We already covered the performance levels of both the RX 7700 and the RX 7800 beforehand. However, in short, the RX 7700 is 15% faster than the RTX 4060 Ti. Meanwhile, the RX 7800 is 5-6% faster than the RTX 4070.

Both GPUs are excellent choices, if priced correctly. NVIDIA still has better software offerings so AMD will have to keep that in consideration.
