Exclusive: OPPO A78 5G launching in India on 14 January. Specifications, Price and Live Image revealed

OPPO launched the OPPO A77 5G in smartphone in June 2022. The device featured a Dimensity 810 processor, LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate, 5000mAh battery and 48MP dual camera setup. It was initially made available in Thailand for THB 9999 or USD 290. However, OPPO never launched the OPPO A77 5G in India.

The company is now planning to launch its successor, the OPPO A78 5G soon in India. Ahead of the launch, we have exclusively managed to get specifications and a live image of the smartphone. We also have the exact launch date and price range of the phone.

OPPO A78 5G Specifications, Price and Image:

As per our sources, OPPO will launch the OPPO A78 5G in India on 14 January. It will be a budget device, targeted towards the offline market. The device will be priced around INR 18,500 and INR 19,000 for its base storage variant.

OPPO A78 5G will bear CPH2495 model number. The device will be built around a 6.6-inch size display, likely with an LCD panel. It will come with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM, with 4GB RAM Expansion technology.

Under the hood, the phone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is an octa-core processor with two fast ARM Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2GHz and six power Cortex-A55 cores at up to 2GHz. Further, it uses a ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU to handle the graphics. The CPU is manufactured in the 7nm process.

In terms of optics, the handset will use a dual camera setup on the rear and a single lens on front. At the back, the phone will get a 50MP Primary unit and a secondary 2MP unit for Depth or Macro. While at the front, it will feature an 8MP camera.

OPPO A78 5G will pack a 5000mAh battery. The phone will support 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging over a USB port. In terms of software, the device will come pre-installed with with Android 13 OS with OPPO’s ColorOS 13.0 UI on top.
