NVIDIA Is Expected to Announce Its Blackwell 60-Class GPUs As Early as This Month

Perhaps at GTC '25?

NVIDIA is reportedly planning to release its budget Blackwell GPUs, specifically the GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060Ti as early as this month. The entry-level RTX 5050‘s launch is also on the cards, and may see an April release.

NVIDIA RTX 5060 Series Launching in March, Pre-Orders Open Two Weeks Before April Release

The 60-class Blackwell GPUs are expected to release before March 17, according to hardware leaker, @Zed_Wang. In his tweet, he mentioned that the RTX 5060 family will hit shelves next month, in April, which points to a two-week pre-order window.

It also looks like NVIDIA is planning a three-tiered RTX 5060 lineup, based on recent leaks. This includes the RTX 5060 (8GB), RTX 5060Ti (8GB), and RTX 5060Ti (16GB). All models are expected to use the GB206 die, which is also found in the RTX 5070 Mobile GPU.

As for the more affordably-priced RTX 5050, WCCFTech reports that it would come in a single 8GB configuration, potentially at an MSRP of somewhere in between $199 and $249, targeting the entry-level segment against the competing Intel ARC B580.

With NVIDIA’s stock issues, and rumors pointing to an extended pre-order window, it’s surprising to note that the company is looking to release yet another SKU without any real stock. Even if stock projections are optimistic, many consumers may struggle to purchase the GPUs at MSRP, as limited supply could lead to quick sellouts at launch day and potentially inflated reseller prices.

As for the pricing, it remains a mystery for now, but rumors have it that the RTX 5060 will come at $299, in the second half of April. The RTX 5050 will target sub-$300 segments, and the RTX 5060Ti is expected to come in at $399$449.
