Motorola is anticipated to soon unveil a new addition to its Edge series of smartphones. This follows the April introduction of the Motorola Edge 40 series, which featured the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Pro models. The upcoming release is expected to be the Moto Edge 40 Neo, serving as the successor to the Moto Edge 30 Neo, which made its debut in September 2022.
As of now, Motorola has not provided an official launch date for the Moto Edge 40 Neo. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 processor. This processor includes two Arm Cortex-A78 CPUs with frequencies of up to 2.5GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 CPUs with frequencies of up to 2.0GHz. To date, the Motorola Edge (2022), which was launched in August 2022, remains the only phone to utilize this processor. It will be available in single storage configurations with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM. The phone will run on the Android 13 operating system with Moto’s proprietary MyUX software interface.
The phone will sport a 6.55″ Curved pOLED display with a center punch hole. The screen will offer FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. On the rear, it will feature a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main camera supported by OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. The device will be powered by a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.
For security, the device will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of connectivity, the phone will support Dual SIM, NFC, and a USB-C port. The smartphone’s dimensions will measure 159.6 x 72 x 7.8 mm, with a weight of 170 grams. In the European market, the smartphone with a 12GB+256GB configuration will launch at a price of EUR 399. We can also confirm that the phone will soon be available in India.
