iQOO Releases World’s First Device to Feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 782G SoC
In China, iQOO has released the first smartphone to include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 782G chip. The new Z7 5G in China looks quite different from the one released in India. The China-exclusive model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G system-on-chip. Whereas, the Z7 5G in India uses a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC. The processor is not the only unique feature. The China Z7 5G has a larger battery and a taller screen than the standard Z7.
The Z7 includes a notch-mounted 16MP front camera and a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 91.06% screen-to-body ratio. In addition to a 64MP main camera, the phone has a 2MP depth sensor. It includes a fingerprint scanner located on the side and a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W rapid charging.
Coming into more details on the processor, the Snapdragon 782G is equipped with a 8-core Kryo CPU with speeds up to 2.7Ghz. It features Qualcomm’s X53 5G Modem with sub-6 GHz Cellular speeds. Detailed specifications are mentioned below:
The iQOO Z7 is available in Space Black, Atomic Blue, and Infinite Orange, and costs 1599 yuan ($232) 1799 yuan ($261), and 1999 yuan ($290), respectively, for the 8+128GB, 8+256GB, and 12+256GB models. In China, sales of the phones will begin on March 24th and are now available for pre-order.
