HyperOS 2.0 Global Rollout: Release Dates and Supported Devices
The first batch of devices are slated to receive the update this month.
Xiaomi has officially announced the global release schedule for HyperOS 2.0. Unlike previous years, when international devices had to wait a few months for the global rollout, this time the first batch of devices is slated to receive the update as soon as this month, on par with their Chinese counterparts.
The global rollout will be led by the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14T series, followed by devices such as the Redmi Note 13, Xiaomi 13T, and the Poco X6 series. In December, the schedule will extend to older devices in the Xiaomi 11, 12, and 13 series, as well as the Redmi Note 12, and the Poco F6, F5, and X4 devices.
Overall, only flagship models older than the Xiaomi 11 series will receive the HyperOS 2.0 update. Models like the Xiaomi 11 Lite 4G, Poco X4, and F4 have been excluded. The image below summarizes the full list of devices expected to receive the December update.
This year, Xiaomi has advanced its global release dates compared to what users are used to. For reference, HyperOS 1.0 Global was released to international devices in Q1 2024. The same pattern was initially expected to continue. However, it seems users may not have to wait those extra months after all.
There has been considerable speculation about Xiaomi releasing “stripped-down” versions of HyperOS, which reportedly lack some functionality and features compared to its Chinese variant. It remains to be seen how HyperOS 2.0 will perform on global devices, especially since this will be the first time both China (CN) and Global ROMs are being released in the same month.
