How to Add an Image to Your GoDaddy Webmail Signature

Having a signature at the end of all your emails gives them a touch of professionalism and shows that you mean business. Most email signatures are simply comprised of the sender’s name, with job titles and pleasantries also being present in many cases. However, an email signature does not have to be limited to words – you can even have an image of any other visual graphic as a part of your signature or as your signature as a whole. If a simple signature demonstrates professionalism, a signature with an image or other visual graphic will help garner interest from the email’s recipient and give them overall positive feelings towards the sender.

There’s a lot of visual graphics you can add to your email signature – from your company’s logo to seem professional and resourceful to an emoji or a simple smiley to be construed as a bit whimsical in the good sense of the word. In fact, you can even entirely replace your electronic signature with an image of your handwritten signature to set your email signature apart from all the rest in every way imaginable. In addition, if you’re using GoDaddy Webmail (both Standard and Classic), adding images or graphics to your email signature is a rather simple process.

How to add an image to your GoDaddy Webmail signature

If you’re using the standard GoDaddy Webmail to send and receive email, here’s what you need to do in order to add an image to your signature:

  1. In the GoDaddy Webmail toolbar, click on Settings (represented by a gear icon).
  2. Click on More settings… in the resulting context menu.
  3. Navigate to the General tab.
  4. In the text box under Email signature that contains your current email signature, click on wherever you want to insert an image to have your cursor positioned there.
  5. Click on Insert Inline Image in the formatting toolbar for the signature.
  6. In the dialog that pops up, navigate to the directory on your computer the image you want to add to your signature is stored in, click on it to select it and click on Open.
Note: In the event that the image you have chosen to add to your signature is larger than 160×80 pixels (GoDaddy Webmail’s maximum for images in signatures), you are going to have to decrease its size and/or resolution to make sure it fits the bill. If the selected image exceeds GoDaddy Webmail’s maximum limit in terms of size, you can reduce its size by knocking its resolution down a couple pegs, limiting the number of colors it has or converting it to a different, more compressed image format. You can use an online image converter/editor for all these purposes.
  7. Click on Save.

How to add an image to your GoDaddy Webmail Classic signature

If you’re using GoDaddy Webmail Classic, on the other hand, here’s how to go about adding an image to your email signature:

  1. In the GoDaddy Webmail Classic toolbar, click on Settings.
  2. Click on Personal Settings in the resulting context menu.
  3. Navigate to the Signature tab.
  4. In the text box under Signature that contains your current email signature, click on wherever you want to insert an image to have your cursor positioned there.
  5. Click on Insert Image in the formatting toolbar for the signature.
  6. Under Upload Image, click on Choose File.
  8. Click on Insert.
  9. Click on OK.

Note: If you append an image to your email signature, it will also be sent as an attachment with every email you send with it as a part of or as your signature. This holds true regardless of whether you’re using the standard GoDaddy Webmail or GoDaddy Webmail Classic
