BEST GUIDE: Flexnet Licensing Service

The FLEXnet Licensing Service is used by Adobe applications to check if your copy of Adobe product is genuine. It helps Adobe to prevent software piracy. The FLEXnet Licensing Service is also used to provide software updates, reminders for expired licenses and licensing agreements and deliver service packages directly to the client applications.

You cannot find the Flexnet Licensing Service in Startup tab in Task Manager. To find the startup entry for Flexnet Licensing Service, follow this procedure.

Press Windows+R keyboard shortcut to open Run dialogue box.

Type msconfig and press Enter.

Go to the Services tab and find FLEXnet Licensing Service.

If you are using any Adobe product, or any other product that uses The FLEXnet Licensing Service, then you must not disable flexnet licensing service, because if it is disabled then Adobe programs may stop working.
