Backup Data from a Samsung Account to a Samsung Account

Samsung devices include a Samsung account that is separated from your main account used for Google Play, Gmail and other Android services. This account can be used to access specific Samsung content and apps and to backup data to the cloud.

If you’d like to transfer data on an Android phone from a Samsung account to another account on a different device, you’ll need to set-up a backup first. After this you can then transfer the data to another account or another device by following the advice we have listed below.

First, you will need to backup your data. For this you’ll need to follow the information below on the device that contains the data you’d like to backup.

Once you have backed up your data via your Samsung account, you’ll be able to move it to another account or device. For the next step you’ll need to use the device that you’d like to move your backup data to.

On your new device you’ll first need to sign into the account that holds your backup data. Follow the steps below to do this.
