Youtube Music Version 3.17 Minor Aesthetic Change: Removes Red Rings From Avatars For Premium Users

Usually, when new updates are rolled out, companies release smaller fixes and updates to cater to issues from the original release. Even a huge company like Apple had to roll out an update for the iPhone 5S when its fingerprint mechanism had issues. Google recently launched a complete update for Youtube Music. The App held many significant changes. While that was the case, according to a report by 9to5Google, this week they released a newer 3.17 update.

Now, one may wonder what changes the update brings to the table. Well, to cut the disappointment in half, I’ll cut straight to the chase. There is no huge aesthetic change since the last update, other than a tiny ring removal. Where though? For those who are concerned with Youtube Musc Premium, would notice something different about their avatar in the top right corner. Perhaps what could put it in simple terms, they have removed the red circle around the profile photo. Not only on the top corner, but also on the Profile tab in settings.

The removal of the red ring makes the profile photo on the main screen less noticeable. Not only that, it stood out in a weirdly tacky way. Perhaps user reviews voted against the idea of having it like that. But then again, not many people would have even noticed it. Given that this is just a feature exclusive to premium users who pay $11.99 for the service. As for the rest, their lives are as unchanged as ever.

It is good though, the subtle changes. The version is now rolled out throughout the globe. If your app is still showing the red circle even if you have updated it, try reinstalling the app, that should do the trick.
