Xiaomi’s Mi 11 may be the First Phone To Support The SD888 SoC by the end of December

Qualcomm recently introduced the latest SoCs from the company. These are the Snapdragon 888 chipsets which showcase great performance gains. The company even showcased a prototype device running these chipsets and a couple of reviewers had the chance to check these out too. While none of them really run benchmarks, overall performance was great. Now, the wait remains on the first company to come out with the Snapdragon 888 in its device. After all, people want to compare it with the iPhone 12 lineup, the benchmark for performance today. We got this tweet from Ice Universe, a credible source about one of the devices that is set to feature the new chipset from Qualcomm.

Now, the device would be the flagship from the company. According to the tweet, Xiaomi would be releasing the device by the end of this month, meaning they would have the lead on Samsung. Of course, we know that Samsung would be equipping its smartphones with this SoC as well but our first look, at least according to this, would be coming from Xiaomi.

While we are still unsure about the exact specs of the device or how it may even look like, the tweet from Ice Universe shows us the screen protector for the phone. The tweet may mislead some people to think that it would be a foldable phone, the device is just a curved display on all sides. It shows that the phone has pretty minimal screen design and bezels. Other than that, not much much information on it.
