Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 To Launch Outside China Confirmed As A ‘Mi’ Rebranded Mid-Range Laptop Called Mi Notebook 1C With Windows 10?

The Xiaomi RedmiBook 13, the Chinese company’s powerful mid-range laptop running Windows 10, is about to launch outside China. A new report confirms Xiaomi will rebrand the RedmiBook laptop under its popular umbrella sub-brand ‘Mi’. The company had previously indicated that its devices would sport a slightly higher price tag. In other words, the company has clearly implied that its rebranded Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 laptop won’t be as aggressively priced as its smartphones.

Serial tipster Ishan Agarwal has obtained and offered some interesting promotional visuals of the Xiaomi RedmiBook 13. He claims Xiaomi will launch the RedmiBook 13 laptop in the second week of June, this year, in India. Although Xiaomi is yet to officially acknowledge, it further adds the company is expected to rebrand the laptop under its regional and highly successful Mi brand in the country.

Xiaomi Launching Last Year’ RedmiBook 13 Laptop Outside China?

RedmiBook 13 will be the first laptop in the Indian market from Redmi. Incidentally, it will be the first laptop that Xiaomi will launch in the country. The promotional and marketing material indicates the laptop will feature a bezel-less display as well as an Intel Core i7 processor. However, as previously reported, Xiaomi might just offer an AMD Ryzen 4000 Series ZEN 2 based laptops as well.

Based on the information, it appears Xiaomi is planning to launch the December 2019 version of RedmiBook 13 in the Indian market. If the assumption is correct, there won’t be any AMD Ryzen APU version. Interestingly, Xiaomi has already begun to promote the rebranded RedmiBook 13 laptop on social media but hasn’t yet announced the model name or launch date yet. This has been the traditional promotional strategy of Xiaomi for a very long time.

Xiaomi’s laptops are almost always sleek and slim, and the RedmiBook 13 certainly matches the design criteria. The images indicate the laptop will have a 13-inch Full HD display, Intel Core i7 processor, large storage with fast read-write speed, and long battery life.

According to market experts, Xiaomi is rebranding the RedmiBook 13 as Mi Notebook 1C. The company’s social media accounts are hinting the laptop will be a great option for productivity, entertainment, and gaming. Although exact specifications are still not announced, Xiaomi did confirm that its first laptop in the Indian market will not be as affordable as its smartphones.

If the upcoming Xiaomi laptop for India is indeed a rebranded RedmiBook 13, then the specifications are already known. The RedmiBook 13 model was launched in China in December 2019. The laptop comes with a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and thin bezels on the sides for 89 Percent Screen-To-Body ratio. The laptop comes with 10th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 laptop options. The portable computing device gets 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage as standard. There’s also a 2GB Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card.

The Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 laptop has a 40 Watt-Hour cell with a 65W power adaptor and 1C charging support. The technology assures 50 percent of charging in less than 35 minutes. Xiaomi claims the battery can deliver 11-hour continuous video playback, 8-hour video streaming, or 8.5-hour of web browsing.

The connectivity options on the Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 include 2x USB 3.1 port, 1x HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. Sound output is through 2W speakers that have DTS Audio Processing. The laptop comes with Windows 10 Home Edition

According to the leak, the rebranded Xiaomi RedmiBook 13 is expected to launch in India on June 11, 2020. It is expected to be available with a brushed metal body in Moonlight Silver color.

In China, the Xiaomi redmiBook retails for RMB 4,199 (Approx USD 599) for the Intel Core i5 processor model. The Intel Core i7 model is priced at RMB 5,199 (Approx. USD 729). According to Xiaomi’s claims, the upcoming laptop would certainly carry a much higher price tag. Moreover, Xiaomi is expected to stick to the online retail model, and perhaps ‘Flash Sales’, to sell its rumored Mi Notebook 1C.
