Xiaomi’s is all set to launch a new smartphone, the Redmi Go. Today, Xiaomi teased their upcoming smartphone on their official Facebook page.
While fans are eagerly waiting for the worldwide launch of Redmi Note 7, Xiaomi has other plans. The teaser in the official Facebook page, shows that the device has narrower bezels than the Note 7. The phone hasn’t been launched anywhere yet, and Xiaomi Phillipines’ page was the only one which got the tease till now. While that doesn’t mean it won’t get a worldwide launch, it does mean that it’ll come later down the line.
The tease also contains the complete technical specifications of the phone. The phone sports Snapdragon 425 CPU, Adreno 308 GPU, a 5-inc 720p display and 1GB/8GB RAM/ROM. The camera is a 8MP/5MP shooter, while the battery is 3000 mAh. It will run Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) out of the box.
Looking at the specifications, the phone is targeted for buyers on an extremely tight budget. This phone will also cater to the needs of people in countries like India and enable more people to own a smartphone. With that in mind, this phone will definitely cost somewhere south of 100$. If it is in that price segment, this will turn out to be a good offering from Redmi.
