Beginning on August 10, a flood of foldable phones will take the market by storm. With the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4, Samsung will get things started. Motorola will follow on August 11 with the Razr 2022. Xiaomi has also joined the celebration and revealed that the Mix Fold 2, its upcoming foldable flagship, will also launch on August 11.
The manufacturer revealed a teaser image for the phone on its Weibo account, displaying what seems to be the metallic phone hinge. The poster doesn’t offer much else save the fact that the Mix Fold 2 will benefit from Xiaomi’s new partnership with Leica.
According to rumors, the Mix Fold 2 will adopt the Galaxy Foldable phones’ design aesthetic, making it an inward-folding smartphone. The Mix Fold 2 is rumored to contain an 8-inch folding display and a 6.5-inch cover display, however this time around, the screens will be improved to a 120Hz refresh rate rather than the 60Hz on the original.
Given that this is a flagship foldable, we anticipate the Mix Fold 2 to have top-notch hardware and software capabilities in addition to excellent optics and build quality.
