Xiaomi has been pouring in a lot of money on the research and development of its devices. Primarily, smartphones have been revamped to give us excellent products. Not to mention, the innovation involved in them is quite amazing. The company was one of the first to experiment with better wireless charging speeds. Last year we saw Xiaomi introduce the 30W fast wireless charging. This was later surpassed by the 40W one. Today, with the latest Mi 10 Ultra, we see the company give out the 50W fast wireless charging. This is not the epitome of greatness in the realm of wireless charging technology. Today, the company made an announcement of its latest stride with the new 80W Mi Wireless Charging technology.
As showcased and flaunted in this video, the new technology can charge your phone from 0 to a full hundred per cent in about 19 minutes. According to the announcement blog post, the company adds some stats to the mix. According to the post, the testing has been done on a 4000mAh battery in their testing the battery charged up to 10% in just one minute, up to 50% in 8 minutes and 100% in just 19 minutes. When compared to the starting point with the 30W charging, this is about 50 minutes faster. That is leaps ahead.
Right now, in the latest Mi 10 Ultra, they have added the new 50W wireless charging but we expect that in the next round of flagships, the new 80W charging may be introduced. Right now, it still seems like a testing phase kind of thing and we would know for sure when they actually add it to an end product.
