After an underwhelming May and a quiet June, Xbox is back with its monthly 20/20 summer presentations. Microsoft has announced that the July event called “Xbox Series X Games Showcase” will happen on the 23rd of July. They have previously announced that the event will primarily focus on the first-party titles only. The Game Showcase is extremely crucial for Xbox as PlayStation has already demonstrated its first-party titles for the PS5. Microsoft did not offer any additional information regarding what should be the viewer’s expectations from the event.

Xbox Games studios consist of 15 studios. Most of these are the studios that Microsoft has acquired in the last two years. We do not expect all of them to showcase their work during the event, but it is expected that most of these studios will have something to share with the community. Microsoft has kept the details of games to be shown in the event under wraps, but there are a few games that will most definitely be featured in the event.
Expected/Confirmed games for the show
Halo has been the most popular franchise from Xbox. We will most definitely get an in-depth look at what 343 industries has been doing with the Halo Infinite. It will be the highlight of the show. Ninja theory will showcase the gameplay of Hellblade II: Senua’s sacrifice. Leaks also point towards Everwild‘s gameplay that is being developed by a British studio known as Rare. Announcements regarding the revival of Fable from Playground studios (developers of Forza series) and Perfect Dark from the Initiative are also expected.
Xbox Series X Games showcase event will be streamed live on Twitch, Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter at 9 pm Pacific time.
