Microsoft Announces Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase for June

The gaming industry has changed momentously in the past few years in the wake of the pandemic. We’ve become accustomed to delays at this point and studios holding announcement events whenever they please. E3, which is used to be the cornerstone of this industry has now turned into a has-been struggling to adapt to the contemporary nature of how we consume our games.
E3 was canceled this year, that makes the second year in the past three without E3. But even before that big names like PlayStation and Nintendo had already dropped out of the worldwide phenomenon, leaving it drier and drier each year. With yet another season devoid of E3, the reveal events are now up to the developers and publishers to be scattered around the year.
Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase
That being said, it looks like Xbox is still feeling nostalgic and wants to keep the E3 spirit alive as the company has just announced a new game showcase for June. June is widely known as E3’s month, that’s when you get the most amount of gaming announcements from all kinds of sources. And Microsoft has chosen this time to hold its next big Xbox showcase that will include Bethesda, as well.
Officially titled “Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase“, the event will be held on June 12 at 10AM Pacific Time. As the name suggests, it will include announcements from Xbox and its partner studios, along with Bethesda Softworks. Judging by the cosmic-looking artwork accompanying this announcement, we can safely say that the show will highlight Starfield, which is slated to release in November of this year.

Starfield is essentially Bethesda’s next Elder Scrolls, but even more ambitious and set in space. It is arguably the most hotly-anticipated game of this year, bar God of War: Ragnarok, and no GTA 6 is not coming out this year. So its obvious that the showcase will feature Starfield pretty heavily. Apart from that, we can expect updates on previously-announced titles, along with some infamous “World Premieres” of new games.
Xbox didn’t say much about the show, other than how it’s supposed to include everything we need to know about the diverse lineup of games coming soon to the Xbox ecosystem. One important to note here is that the show will also focus on upcoming releases to Game Pass on both Xbox and PC. This will be the second joint Xbox and Bethesda reveal event Microsoft has held since they acquired the latter back in 2021.
The Xbox and Bethesda Game Showcase will be livestreamed on a variety of different platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. You can choose to watch it anywhere you want as the show will be streamed in over 30 different languages as well. Links for all the Xbox social media handles that will broadcast the event are listed below, so don’t forget to tune in on June 12 at 10AM PST to catch the show.
