Many people use WhatsApp as a primary source of communication with their friends and family. However, they often encounter some annoying bugs while using the chat application.
WhatsApp recently rolled out WhatsApp beta version 2.19.364. The update brings some minor features and bug fixes for Android users. However, there are numerous reports that the app crashes when users tap reply messages.
Several people spotted the issue on their Android phones. Some of them highlighted the problem by sharing some screenshots of the error message on Twitter.
Although it appears to be a minor problem, still the bug greets millions of people when they open the app. Furthermore, WhatsApp also freezes when they try to delete media files or tap side navigation.
Some Other Reported Bugs
Notably, the bug specifically affects users running Whatsapp for Android version 2.19.364. It is worth mentioning that it was a common issue in the previous version as well. Thus, if you want to avoid this problem, it is highly recommended that you should skip the latest update.
Notably, there is no official word from WhatsApp on this matter. However, the WhatsApp team has received a series of reports and they are investigating the issue. It seems like a fix will be available in the next beta release.
Besides the app crashing bug, the latest update introduced some other problems as well. Apparently, some people can’t share contacts with other WhatsApp users. It is because of the fact that the send button to share contacts is no longer available in the recent version.
“Updated to 2.19.364, but still app crashing. And also I don’t find send button to share contacts as well with 363 and 364 beta versions.”
Moreover, some other WhatsApp users experienced a laggy camera which makes the feature completely unusable. In addition, they encountered some occasional crashes while selecting an image from the gallery and sending it to other users.
If you have noticed any of these issues, you should regularly visit the Google Play Store to check for the latest updates.
