Warner Bros. Will Handle Cyberpunk 2077 Distribution in North America

Cyberpunk 2077 is CD Projekt Red’s upcoming action role-playing game. The developers announced today that Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be distributing the title in North America.

Having worked with the globally known studio twice before, CD Projekt Red has decided to let Warner Bros. take over the distribution process of Cyberpunk 2077 in the North American region. Set in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated game follows a mercenary named V through the vibrant, yet dangerous Night City.

Years ago, the first Witcher game was released and published by Atari. Over the years, CD Projekt Red has made a name for itself in the gaming industry. The developers have previously worked with Warner Bros. before on the second and third Witcher games, both of which were highly successful.

CD Projekt Member of the Board, Michał Nowakowski states:

“We’ve worked with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and both releases turned out to be really successful, so we’re entering this new stage of our cooperation with great confidence. Cyberpunk 2077 is our biggest and most ambitious project to date, and I’m really looking forward to all the amazing things we can achieve together.”

As part of the collaboration, Warner Bros. will be handling the distribution and promotion of Cyberpunk 2077 in North America. The release of both the console and PC version of the game will be handled by the publisher.

CD PROJEKT RED is one of the best game development studios in the world and it’s great to be working with the team again. Cyberpunk 2077 is a standout title and we are expecting great things from our continued collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED,” said Kevin Kebodeaux of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

On the other side of the world, a possible leak by Turkish publisher Bilkom has led many to believe that Cyberpunk 2077 could release as early as 2019.
