Video Review Showcases a Pre-Production Unit of the S21 Plus: Excellent Screen Design, Power Performer & Good Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is really the talk of the town. There have been numerous leaks and renders in the wild but now we know a lot about what to expect. There has been some serious development though. This is on par with what kind of leaks we saw with the Pixel devices. Following is the view we can see by Random Stuff 2 which shows a prototype of the S21 Plus.

In the video, we see an initial look at what the device can do and is about. Commenting firstly on the entire device and the person reviewing it claims that it is a great overall device.

First, we look at the exterior and the phone’s display is just brilliant. This is the first time we are seeing a device which does the bezels (or the lack thereof) so well. It has a small front camera punch-hole and an in-display fingerprint reader but by the video, it did look a bit slower than the competition. As for the back of the device, in typical fashion, it would be a fingerprint magnet. The cameras, although there is an unorthodox design, are well protected this time around. Previously, there was an issue of the camera lenses cracking due to damage.

As for the software, we get to look at overall performance and that would obviously be pretty smooth. After all, it is a flagship with the latest chipset in it. As for the cameras, they compare it with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and it looks the usual Samsung device. Although it is pretty vibrant, it pushes the shadows and sometimes lacks in dynamic range as compared to the iPhone. It would carry more detail though due to the cameras having more megapixels.

A little context though: while the phone may be lacking in certain areas, this is not the final product. It is a pre-production unit as the reviewer constantly reminds all of the viewers. While it may not change physically, it would definitely be more refined.
