Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Private Beta is live now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Shortly after launch, users started sharing bugs and issues on the Division 2 forums. Among the continuously growing list of issues, there are two particularly troublesome ones that result in a game crash. In a recent blog post, Ubisoft assures us that fixes are on the way, and advises players to restart the game client “every two to three hours”.

Although the main purpose of the beta is to find and eliminate bugs, it also gives players a taste of what’s to come. For this reason the developers have shared a temporary “fix” to some of the Division 2 beta’s most significant issues.
Prior to the launch of the beta, Ubisoft notified fans about two “high priority issues” that currently exist in the private beta.
“We are aware of an issue where your game client will crash after an extended gameplay session,” reads the blog post. “To circumvent this, we recommend that you restart your game client every two to three hours.”
“Secondly, on all platforms, if you are outside the game and receive a game invite from a friend within the game, your client will crash at launch. To work around this problem, make sure to start the game first and join group directly from inside the game.”
While there are numerous bugs that are extremely frustrating, such as the black screen on startup issue, making use of Ubisoft’s workarounds should, at the very least, minimize the game crashes.
The beta is live now and runs till February 10th, so that should be plenty of time to try out the game. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 releases March 15th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Epic Games Store. If you’re not a fan of Epic’s new game store, the game can also be purchased up on Uplay.
